Can I issue a receipt when I take a downpayment?
Yes. Every payment (downpayment, progress payment, or balance) generates a sequential receipt through your open shift. The printable estimate and final invoice are separate documents clearly labeled "NOT AN OFFICIAL RECEIPT" โ actual receipts flow through the POS sale path.
What happens if a repair needs more materials than quoted?
Add them as variance parts. They always go through the manager approval queue (regardless of settings) so cost overruns are controlled. The customer's final invoice shows original quote and additional charges separately, with a dedicated signature line for variance sign-off.
Can I reprint an old invoice for warranty claims?
Yes. The completed job history page archives every released job with full detail. Search by job number, customer, or device, then click "Print Final Invoice" to regenerate the exact document.
